OK… There’s a lot of connotations to our name. So feel free to explore the possibilities and tell us about your Perception.
The goal of this blog is to educate, opine, and stir up some controversy. Not controversy for controversy sake, rather to challenge some ideas and notions that are out of control on the Internet and across the blogosphere. Namely, that traditional marketing is dead, kaput, history, whatever. It’s not.
We fully embrace social marketing and social media, but do not for one moment think it’s the end all be all. It’s just a new tool set and a new avenue to add to your repertoire in your efforts to make marketing work for you. The thought that everything traditional is over and that Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook run the world is just as valid as the paperless office theory that has yet to take hold.
The goal here is to discuss the balance, to weigh the pros and the cons and to investigate the range of marketing options that exist in both the physical and virtual worlds. Who’s behind Perception?
